The Skin Parlor & Apothecary FAQ
A holistic esthetician focuses on the skin as part of the whole body system. Instead of treating the skin in isolation, we look at internal and external factors such as stress, nutrition, gut health, lifestyle, and energetic balance.
Treatments often include botanical skincare, herbal support, lymphatic techniques, facial massage, and customized rituals designed to support long term skin health and overall wellness.
A medical aesthetician typically works in clinical settings alongside medical professionals and may focus on corrective or device based treatments such as lasers, injectables support, or advanced clinical procedures.
A holistic esthetician takes a natural, whole body approach using plant based ingredients, hands on techniques, and lifestyle based recommendations. The goal is to support the skin’s natural function and balance rather than perform medical or invasive treatments.
Each appointment is personalized. You can expect a detailed consultation followed by a treatment tailored to your skin’s current needs.
Services may include cleansing rituals, exfoliation, facial massage, herbal or botanical masks, lymphatic drainage, and aromatherapy. You may also receive at home recommendations or optional herbal or skincare add ons based on your consultation.
